Atlanta rapper Future has announced the release of a new mixtape titled Beast Mode, a collaborative effort with producer Zaytoven — the cover artwork is above. The tape is set to drop Jan. 15, and on New Year's Eve, Zaytoven shared the project's first track, titled "Real Sisters," which you can check out below. Zaytoven's beat for the track is based around a keyboard line that sounds like it was ripped straight from a 8-bit video game soundtrack, while Future spits his Auto-Tuned, half-sung flow over the top of it.

Beast Mode will be Future's first mixtape since Monster, which was released in October. His most recent album Honest was released in March and was his second studio album overall, following his 2012 debut Pluto. Six singles were released from Honest: "Karate Chop" featuring Lil Wayne; "Honest"; "S--t"; "Move That Dope" featuring Pharrell, Pusha T and Casino; "Covered N Money"; and "I Won" featuring Kanye West.

Beast Mode is far from the first time Future and Zaytoven have collaborated. They have also worked together on Future's mixtapes Dirty Sprite, Streetz Calling and Astronaut Status, as well as his collaborative mixtape with Gucci Mane Free Bricks.

Future's "Move That Dope" featuring Pharrell, Pusha T and Casino was recently selected by the Music Times staff as one of the 25 best songs of 2014. You can check out that complete list here.

"[Producer] Mike Will and I worked on it and we played it for Pharrell and Pusha T, and they had to get on it," Future told Dazed about the origins of "Move That Dope." "There was no choice! The song just grabbed them, and they laid their verses that day. It's amazing to see them work. Pharrell is such an outside mind, and Pusha complements that nicely."
