Madeon has finally put a definitive timetable on his most ambitious project of his career, Adventure. The French producer/DJ's debut artist album has long been anticipated by fans eager to hear new music from the Finale producer. Now he's announced an official release date and tracklist. Aventure will hit stores March 30th via Columbia Records. Madeon has also announced the tracklist for the LP, featuring some interesting collaborations and brand new music that has not been heard before.
He will be working alongside Dan Smith, the singer from Bastille, Passion Pit, Mark Foster, the singer from Foster The People and others, though the album will feature plenty of instrumentals.
The list of collaborators are a prime example of why an artist like Madeon who is not a household name in the pop space might sign with Columbia Records. The major gives him access to artists like Passion Pit, Bastille and Foster The People.
Madeon reflected on the creative direction for the album and his influences in a statement.
With Adventure, I wanted to capture the feeling and sensibility of my teenage years. I wanted the album to start very vibrant and pop and end with a more contemplative tone. In making the record I both collaborated in the studio with some of my favorite musicians, and wrote and performed vocals on songs myself, two things I hadn't really done before with my own music.
March 30th is already shaping up to be a big album release date with Ludacris dropping Ludaversal, as well as The Prodigy making their return with The Day Is My Enemy.
