Last June, sister trio Haim promised their new album would be ready "very soon" and confirmed that they had intended to start recording in July. In November, Alana Haim uploaded a photo of Danielle Haim on guitar with the caption "S S Studio." Now a new photo has surfaced, confirming that the band is recording once more with producer Ariel Rechtshaid. Este Haim posted the photo, which features Rechtshaid hard at work on a computer with a poster of David Bowie in the background. "Here we go again everybody," she wrote in the caption. "Uh ohz." Looks like new music is officially underway.

The upcoming effort will follow up their debut album Days Are Gone, which earned the critical acclaim and peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 after being released in September 2013.

During their appearance at Glastonbury over the summer, Alana spoke to BBC 6 (via Rolling Stone) about the writing process for the follow-up to Days Are Gone.

"This is the first time we've ever written on the road," she told them. "We're going home in a month to start recording. I promise record two won't come in six years, it'll come very soon."

Earlier in the year, she and Este spoke with Rolling Stone about where they were drawing inspiration for the album.

"We're always writing and figuring out new vibes and trying to get our inner Kanyes out," Alana told them. Este Haim added, "We're going to tap into our inner Kanye."

"[Yeezus] was a f**king masterpiece," Alana continued. "I have yet to see Kanye not put out an amazing record - and people don't understand how hard that is. To make record after record and come out with something new and push the boundaries and have it succeed every single time is insane. If I could choose any brain to just chill in, for, like, 10 minutes, it'd be Kanye's. I just want to see what goes on up there. Because he's a genius."

Not many details have emerged on the new project, though seeing as these ladies are self-proclaimed perfectionists, it might take a while before we see the finished product.

Haim is currently nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys alongside Bastille, Brandy Clark, Iggy Azalea, and Sam Smith.
