R&B singer Jhené Aiko has shared the music video for her single "Spotless Mind," which you can check out below. The Jay Ahn-directed clips follows Aiko and her boyfriend through an entire day as they visit the beach, an arcade, a go-kart track and a hotel room and take a ride out in a boat, with Aiko wearing a new outfit in each scene. Though the title of the song is similar to a famous Michel Gondry film, the visuals are reminiscent of a Wes Anderson film, with the bold yellow font in the credits, symmetrical framing, jarring edits and overall quirky tone.

"Spotless Mind" is the fourth music video to be shared from Aiko's album Souled Out, following the music videos for "To Love & Die" featuring Cocaine '80s, "The Pressure" and "Wading." Souled Out was released in September 2014, and was Aiko's debut studio album, following her 2013 EP Sail Out and her 2011 mixtape Sailing Soul(s). The album was initially promised for release all the way back in summer 2012, but was only just completed in 2014.

"I think time is always good," Aiko told Vibe about the album's lengthy production period, "just so that you can really make sure to take your time with each song. I don't know, though, because sometimes I like to take maybe too much time with each song to make sure it's right. 'Cause it's like you'll always want it to be better, you know?"

"But I do think that everything does happen for a reason," she continued, "so though the release changed, for the big picture it was for a reason."
