Tomorrowland has delivered another announcement on who will be heading to the festival this summer. After the Belgian electronic music festival revealed that its first act was the Belgian National Orchestra, fittingly renamed the "Symphony of Unity" for the occasion after the theme of unity this year, Tomorrowland has unveiled its latest curated stage. Taking cues from its ID&T partner Mysteryland, the Boom-based partner has decided to call upon a dance music veteran of four decades, Sven Väth, to curate a vinyl-only stage with his label Cocoon.

Väth is the name we have thus far as to who else will be joining, but as indicated by a tweet from the festival, the veteran German techno DJ will be surrounded by his "musical family."

Sven Väth turned 50 in 2014 and still shows no signs of slowing down as a world-touring DJ. He continued his Cocoon residency in Ibiza, selling out the season and playing marathon sets at clubs all over the world, as noted by Beatport.

The lineup rollout is a conscious effort to try and differentiate itself as different from other festivals that all generally have similar lineups. They will all have the same four or five headliners like Tiësto, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren and Skrillex, but it is the other aspects of the festival that makes it different.

Tomorrowland will inevitably have those guys playing their main stage, but it looks to curate something unique with its experience beyond the main stage. The next move will be interesting to see if the ID&T festival will try and get back to the mainstream or continue down the road of less commercial selections.
