Kim Walker Smith & Skyler Smith released their newest album, 'Home,' today, July 16, through Jesus Culture Music.
The new ten track original album features the couple's carefully harmonized vocals atop light accompaniment on the piano, guitar or other string instruments, such as violin or viola. Light percussive elements are also featured in some of the songs.
The duo features a sound that resembles a mixture of folk, country, pop and soft rock. Their voices each contain an appealing quality that proves engaging both separately and in combination with one another.
The new album features the songs, 'My One and Only,' 'Your Voice,' 'Unstoppable Love,' 'Face To Face,' 'Forever Praise,' 'Christ The Rock,' 'Beauty of Your Presence,' 'Home,' 'Oh Beautiful,' and 'Relentless Pursuit.'
The couple got married in 2009 and has since been exploring the purpose that God has created them for in music.
Kim Walker-Smith has been a strong voice in the Christian youth revival scene. She has proven a passionate worship leader who dreams to bring a new generation into the love of God. She is one of the senior leaders in the Jesus Culture movement and is a key member of the Jesus Culture band. Kim has been leading worship at her home church in California for over 7 years and now, along with her husband Skyler, she continues to lead worship teach and bring music and the Gospel message to people all over the world.
Skyler is a strong leader as well. He has been leading worship for more than ten years and likes to explore his faith in other ways as well. He is interested in professional photography and graphic design, in addition to music. After he and Kim married in 2009, they began their journey together, traveling around the world, leading worship and living for God on a day-to-day basis. The couple allows Jesus Culture to take priority in their travels and musical careers, according to their website.
