Chance The Rapper is having a pretty good year. His Acid Rap mixtape has caught the attention music critics, and was even named the second best record of 2013 by SPIN magazine. Normally, the industry waits until late in a performer's career to dig up all the old B-Sides and release a boxed set, but some old mixtapes from Chance's past have emerged online this week.

Of course, Chance's past is very recent. The emcee is 20 years old right now, but he was only 16 when he released Good Enough and Back To School Pack during 2009. The raps contained on both records portend to the performer that the emcee has become, with subject matter that goes deeper than the material, as well as sung, cool falsetto vocals mixed in with the rapping. The production is less than in-depth, but samples such as Adele's "Hometown Glory" and Coldplay's "In Your Place" also flash-forward to modern Chance. A video of the rapper covering Coldplay's "Fix You" made it onto the internet a few weeks ago.

The discovery of the lost mixtapes was found, as are so many music discoveries, by a Reddit user. The user found Chance's old Facebook profile and transferred the audio for our listening pleasure. If anyone's trying to compile the emcee's life discography already, you can listen and download them below.

Even if you haven't heard of Chance yet, you probably will soon. For one, he was featured on the most recent of Justin Bieber's "Music Mondays" singles, titled "Confident."
