Ben Gibbard is getting out from behind the microphone to behind the camera in the new music video for Death Cab for Cutie's Kintsugi single "Black Sun."
Gibbard plays the director of a movie gone wrong. It's a stereotypical robbery flick, complete with a car crash, a vixen of a lead actress and a dashing leading man. All the action is done by secondary players, as Gibbard watched his masterpiece in action, occasionally screaming directions while the modern Death Cab song plays in the background.

The music video for "Black Sun" isn't the only big Death Cab news today. After teases and rumors for over a week, the band also finally confirmed that they will be playing New York City's legendary Madison Square Garden on its 2015 tour. As Consequence of Sound reports, Death Cab will be getting support from Explosions in the Sky on the Sept. 12 date.
