For the most part, Kristen Stewart really seems to fly below the radar. After her high-profile romance with Robert Pattinson crashed and burned a few years ago, Stewart opted to try and live a more private life. Her interviews often seem to indicate that she is conflicted about the fame in connection with the Twilight franchise, which has carved out a her cushy lifestyle. At times Stewart has even appeared miserable and to be pretty ungrateful for the fans who have launched her career. In a new interview, the starlet seems a bit more gracious but typically uncomfortable, saying she is "endlessly proud" of her Twilight success.

Stewart is featured in the March 2015 fashion issue of Interview magazine, and Patti Smith did the honors of chatting with the star. It did not take long for the conversation to turn to the Twilight franchise. It is the thing that took Stewart from being an indie actress to mega-stardom, and it seems that with distance from the role has come a new level of gratitude for it.

"Anybody who wants to talk s**t about Twilight, I completely get it, but there's something there that I'm endlessly, and to this day, f**king proud of. My memory of it felt -- still feels -- really good. People are always comparing Twilight to things and trying to figure out why I've made certain decisions that I've made, and I always say every single moment that has led me to this moment has made me who I am," explained Stewart.

It is interesting how she seems to have changed her attitude about the blockbuster series. Stewart used to complain about losing her anonymity because of it. Maybe after a few years of not being as tracked down and followed by the press she is able to actually have a better perspective on the whole experience.

Has Stewart evolved into a different person or do you think she has just learned how to give a better interview? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
