The seventh season of Live from the Artists Den will premiere this January 29th on public television. So far there have been surprise shows across the country, starting with multi-Grammy winner Sheryl Crow. Crow played New York City in September, the night before she released her new album, Feels Like Home.

In October, Phoenix mixed it up with a performance at a high school gymnasium in Austin, Texas for some 800 guests, many of them students. This was the year of Bankrupt!, their fifth studio album. Lead singer Thoman Mars talked to Billboard about the experience, "When you tour in the United States, a lot of the shows are for [people] 21 and over...We, as teenagers, wouldn't have started a band if we hadn't seen a show when we were 10 or 12," Mars said.

Sara Bareilles played the landmark Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles later in October, with songs off her latest album, The Blessed Unrest. The sneak preview or the electric show has gotten all thumbs up since being released on YouTube.

The Artists Den tapings headed back to the east coast with Vampire Weekend in New York City on December 10th, who's song "Step" from Modern Vampires of the City was a staff favorite this year.
