Most people have some sort of Christmas wish list before the season hits, even if we say we don't and insist that we don't really need anything. Whether it be the latest in technology like a new tablet, game console, or some of the basics, like sweaters and socks, we never know if we'll get what we asked for. We never know if Santa will oblige. Busy guy.

But if you dreamt big this year, went for the abstract and presumably impossible and asked for David Bowie to give a Christmas greeting on BBC Radio 6 in the voice of Elvis Presley, your wish has come true (even if it was a bit late). Bowie did what Santa never could.

The audio clip was featured during yesterday's The Radio Clash, the first broadcast from The Clash's Mick Jones, Paul Simonon, and Topper Headon. We thought Iggy Pop went above and beyond for the holiday with his custom, slightly random video wishing us all a Merry Christmas, but Bowie followed suit in a more subdued manner, and his Elvis impression is actually quite good, despite his native British accent. Here's what he had to say:

"Hello everybody, this is David Bowie making a telephone call from the US of A. At this time of the year I can't help but remember my British-ness and all the jolly British folk, so here's to you and have yourselves a Merry little Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you very much."

Listen to the audio clip below, and never forget, dreams do come true.
