It appears that even Nick Gordon realized that he was circling the drain last week. After threatening to kill himself on the eve of Bobbi Kristina Brown's birthday, Dr. Phil decided to step in and try to help save Gordon from himself. We now know that the interview he filmed with Dr. Phil doubled as an intervention and that, after much angst, Gordon decided to check into a three-month rehab program at a top-notch facility. Information about just how bad Gordon was on camera has leaked out ahead of the intervention that will officially air March 9.

According to a report by TMZ, "Nick was staying at an Atlanta hotel for what he believed was an interview with Phil ... when in fact it was an intervention staged by Nick's mom. We're told Nick's lawyer would not allow him to talk about anything connected with the events that led up to Bobbi Kristina's tragedy. Nick's mom did a lot of the talking, and told Phil her son was deep into booze and Xanax. Nick was so messed up he could barely form sentences. When Nick realized this was an intervention to get him into rehab, he went nuts. We're told on his way out of the interview he punched two members of Dr. Phil's staff," said an insider.

When all was said and done, Gordon caved in and agreed to get help, but whether or not he will finish the entire three-month program is anyone's' guess. One person who was not happy to hear about Gordon's on-camera chat with Dr. Phil is Leolah Brown, Bobbi Kristina's aunt.

She penned a letter asking the popular doc not to give Gordon any sort of platform to be heard. She also insisted that Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend is, in fact, under investigation for attempted murder.

Do you think getting clean and sober will prompt Gordon to decide to finally speak with the police, or is this trip to rehab ultimately going to serve as proof that he was totally messed up on drugs when whatever really happened inside that apartment occurred?
