Bruce Jenner is still transitioning into a woman, but it may not unfold on television as early as originally anticipated. Several weeks ago it was confirmed that rather than having various media outlets make assumptions about him, he is instead doing a docuseries for E! that will detail his transformation. It was originally expected to begin airing in May but now we are hearing that, for a variety of reasons, Jenner has halted production on the docuseries so his kids can deal with his transformation privately.

According to a report by TMZ, "Bruce told producers two weeks ago he felt like they were rushing him and compromising his family by gunning for a May air date. Bruce has two big issues -- he wants to make sure his three sons are 'in a good place' to handle the radical change he's undergoing. He realized the cart was driving the horse, and that the show cannot proceed until his kids are psychologically able to handle it. We're also told the recent car crash -- in which a woman died as an apparent result of his inattentiveness -- has had such an emotional impact on him that he needs to deal with it before proceeding with the docuseries," explained an insider.

Is anyone really surprised to learn that Jenner's sons might be struggling with their father's transformation? If you have watched recent seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, then you already know Jenner has struggled to have any kind of relationship with Brody Jenner. Finally getting to know his dad only to learn that everything that he has finally accepted about him is about to change has to be really tough.

On a good note, Jenner is proving that he is nothing like his ex Kris Jenner, who would continue filming in spite of how the kids felt. She would exploit their issues rather than give them the needed time to deal with them in private. Sources are saying the docuseries will likely still air, but it will be later this year when everyone feels OK with it.
