The initial lineup for a Jack Bruce tribute concert has been announced, and it includes the Cream bassist's former bandmate, Ginger Baker, on drums. Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, Vernon Reid of Living Colour and Joss Stone of Superheavy are also scheduled to perform at Sunshine of Your Love: A Concert Celebrating the Life & Music of Jack Bruce on Oct. 24. According to Ultimate Classic Rock, more performers will be announced.

"Jack Bruce was one of my biggest heroes when I was growing up — a consummate musician, composer and all-around rock genius with a killer voice and one of the most creative and versatile musical minds of his generation," Nitin Sawhney, musical director for the show, said in a statement. "Being asked to musically direct this show celebrating his life and work is a great honor and privilege, and I look forward to working with an amazing lineup of contemporary artists and rock legends."

Proceeds from the concert will benefit East Angila Children's Hospices, which Bruce supported while he was alive. Tickets for the show at the Roundhouse in London are on sale now.

Bruce died in October at the age of 71. He served as one-third of the power trio Cream from 1966 to 1968. In addition to bass, Bruce also sang on a majority of the group's tunes, earning co-writing credits as well on rock hits like "White Room" and "Sunshine of Your Love."

The musician released 14 solo efforts following the dissolution of Cream. His last album, Silver Rails, came out last year.

"Jack Bruce and a sterling cast of supporting players roar down breathtaking tracks on this powerful production, offering what sounds like Bruce's autobiographical retrospective in an artistic, highly personal manifesto," All About Jazz wrote.
