One Directioners everywhere continue to mourn the musical loss of Zayn Malik. The singer decided to part ways with the group earlier this week, leaving a big hole in the beloved boy band lineup. Kevin Hart heard the news at a premiere event for his new movie Get Hard, and he immediately recruited T.I. to join him in commiserating.

A reporter for E! surprised Hart with the unfortunate news. The comedian's response was to cry out to T.I., who was also on the red carpet. The rapper joined Hart for a brief and hilarious grief session before returning to his interview. Watch the funny clip below.

Malik's departure from the group came via a written statement.

"After five incredible years Zayn Malik has decided to leave One Direction. Niall, Harry, Liam and Louis will continue as a four-piece and look forward to the forthcoming concerts of their world tour and recording their fifth album, due to be released later this year," the group wrote.

Get Hard, which stars Hart, Will Ferrell and T.I., opened in theaters today, March 27. Reviews so far have been lackluster.

"Get Hard, with Ferrell as James King, a hedge-fund manager railroaded into prison for fraud, and Hart as Darnell Lewis, a car washer James hires to prep him for 10 years in San Quentin, commits the cardinal sin of comedy: It lets us see the sweat, the backbreaking effort of trying to breathe life into a farce based on racial and gay stereotyping," Peter Travers wrote for Rolling Stone.
