Rihanna is one of the biggest names in pop music, and she recently revealed that she wants to work with another big name: Sam Smith. The "Umbrella" artist sang Smith's praises to The Sun, via NME, getting fans and pop enthusiasts excited in the process. But any collaboration in the future will have to wait until Rihanna drops her highly anticipated eighth album. "He is so talented. It would be amazing to work with him," she said of the "Stay with Me" singer. "No matter how busy we are, when two artists want to work together they make it happen. He is such a beautiful songwriter, but more important than that, he is an absolutely beautiful person, and that comes across in his songs."

RiRi is not one to shy away from a collaboration. She worked with Paul McCartney and Kanye West on "FourFiveSeconds," and the latter reportedly produced her upcoming album. Other notable collaborations include "Umbrella" with Jay Z, "What's My Name" with Drake and "The Monster" with Eminem.

The female pop star has not shared too many details about her new album. She told MTV that there are a lot of tunes on the new LP that are "big songs ... they just blow up." RiRi added that she wanted to make songs that were "timeless."

Smith continues to own the top of the charts with his massive 2014 release In the Lonely Hour. The effort hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 behind hits like "Money on My Mind," "I'm Not the Only One" and "Stay with Me." Smith took home Best Pop Vocal Album, Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year Grammys in February.

He talked to the Los Angeles Times about his follow-up prior to the awards ceremony.

"The one thing I can say is it's going to be a broader project. There's so much in my life that I want to talk about. I wrote a song about my mom and dad [getting divorced] and stuff like that. It's going to be a broader experience," he said.
