BBC Sound of 2014 winner Sam Smith has released the video for his song "Money on My Mind," which was released late last year. He took to Twitter to share the link saying, "HERE IT IS. My debut music video for 'MONEY ON MY MIND' on @vevo_uk I hope you all like it x."
The clip takes place in the city where money is on everyone's mind: Las Vegas. As he sings about being in the music business "for the love," Smith takes us through various Sin City spots with vignettes of casinos, strip clubs, dive bars, magic shows, wedding chapels and back alleys.
Last week, the UK soul singer also accepted the BRITs Critics Choice Award, the same award Adele won back in 2008. "I watched Adele win this award when I was 16," he told Capital Fm. "It really really does mean a lot to me to be here." Smith started gaining recognition back in 2012 for his work on Disclosure's hit single "Latch."
"Money on My Mind" is the lead single off Smith's debut studio album, In the Lonely Hour, which is due out May 26 via Capitol Records. Watch the video here, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!
