Wale fans, the time has arrived: "The Pessimist" rapper has released his long-awaited fourth artist album The Album About Nothing. Far from an album about nothing, it touches on heavy subjects like depression, drug and alcohol abuse and a miscarriage. The LP does all of this while also maintaining a fun side with the strong connection to Jerry Seinfeld and his show Seinfeld, pulling excerpts from the show and pieces of their conversations together. The album is not packed filled with features but makes the most of each one with guest spots from J. Cole, Usher, Jeremih, SZA and Seinfeld.

One of the big themes of the album is Wale trying to gain respect, and he has had trouble dealing with individuals who volley comments at him online. He tried to rationalize his mindset in a recent interview with Complex, where he sat down with Seinfeld.

"I don't know. Nine times out of 10, when I respond, I just want to find out what's the root of it. Somebody says, 'If I f**k with him, he's gonna react.' What then? Did you win any money? Did your life become better? Why would you do that? Why is this entertaining to you? I just don't understand why."
