Swedish punk rockers Refused announced some reunion dates recently that will have the band trekking around the world. The group's first North American gig will occur May 24 in Las Vegas at the Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival. They will stop at the Rock & Roll Hotel in Washington, D.C., June 5 before heading overseas to finish the tour, Consequence of Sound notes.

The band's first reunion took place in 2012, but following that tour, Refused took more time off. Last year, the group fired guitarist Jon Brännström before announcing new shows.

"We cut ties with Jon already in 2013 because he did not share our passion for the band," the group wrote in a statement. "We don't know why he decided to emit this narrative on facebook or why he did it now, instead of just calling one of us up, but we wish him the best in his future endeavors."

Refused hasn't released an album since 1998's The Shape of Punk to Come.
