Time is fleeting while the wildly peculiar and cult classic film, The Rocky Horror Picture Show quickly approaches its 40th anniversary- fans both die-hard and entry-level will have a chance to become a creature of the night with Fox's upcoming TV remake.

Known for his involvement with High School Musical and Hocus Pocus, Kenny Ortego will take on choreography for The Rocky Horror Picture Show Event, as well as sit in the directors chair for the remake, notes Rolling Stone. The score by Richard O'Brien, who starred as Riff Raff, will stay the same but the visuals will be tackled in a distinct way. O'Brien worked along a star studded cast including Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and Meat Loaf.

The 1975 films original producer, Lou Adler will reprise his role and maintain strong participation with executive producer Gail Berman. Since 2002, Berman has been trying to get the project on its feet.

As Deadline notes, "I've been a fan of Rocky Horror since I was a teenager," Berman professed in 2002.

After gaining widespread popularity and acclaim, it became a tradition for the film and musical to live on. There are frequent movie screenings paired with a cast of actors dressed in eccentric outfits, ready to spew lines simultaneously as the movie progresses. Audience members are usually equipped with toilet paper, wedding rice and other props to toss on stage and at one another, making Rocky Horror exceedingly interactive.

Casting decisions remain unknown but what's even more uncertain is if die-hard fans will approve of a remake-whoever plays Dr. Frank- N-Furter has some gaudy, high heels to fill.

It's time to do the Time Warp, again.
