Major Lazer premiered the first episode of their long awaited animation series by the same name during FXX's Animation Domination hour on Thursday night. Fans expected it to be a little bit off the wall and out there, but this has taken it to another level. The episode centers around weed and the fight against the nefarious weed man, who gives the female protagonist, Penny, some laced marijuana and gets her too high. As Major Lazer says after defeating the weed man, "the problem isn't getting too high, it is coming down as they crash down from space into the ocean." Watch the trippy and stoner-friendly first episode below via Pitchfork guest starring Trinidad James.

If you want better quality, head to iTunes to purchase the episode or watch it on FXX's website if you have a cable provider.

Diplo explains the main character as a "Jamaican Rambo who has been through a lot of stuff and his arm was cut off. He has a laser for an arm now."

The idea for the show started about four years, but it only found its home on FXX a year and a half ago and that was when the writing and drawing really took off. Now we can see the final product weekly that will feature the likes of

The trio's album Peace Is The Mission is slated for release on June 1. It will feature the likes of Ellie Goulding, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Ariana Grande and many more.
