The Billboard Music Awards 2015 invited some of the biggest names in pop music today to perform over their three hour broadcast including Imagine Dragons, Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj and many more. The event culminated in Taylor Swift unsurprisingly winning biggest artist of the year and then a performance from Kanye West. Yeezy performed his recent single "All Day" and then the Yeezus track "Black Skinhead," but there was a catch. ABC decided to censor about half of Kanye's performance, rendering the broadcast of his fiery two-song set almost useless.

West started out with his new single "All Day" and appeared to have censored himself for television, making the chorus "All Day, All Day," but that did not satisfy ABC producers who took out almost half of the remaining track. He brought out a simple production with bright yellow lights rending him almost impossible to see and a constant stream of sparks flying into the air in front of the rapper.

He then launched into his Yeezus track "Black Skinhead" with continued censoring and a solo Kanye with a little less fire and sparks.

There are reports that his microphone wasn't working, but that does not explain why the entire audio was cutting out and not just his voice. It could have been the house PA system that was failing, but it seems fishy. He just performed the track during a timeout at a Bulls game, a more family friendly atmosphere, so this type of cencorship seems odd.

Maybe his performance was just too lit for ABC and they had to cut half of it. Watch the performance, or what is left of it, below.
