Several weeks ago Stassi Schroeder confirmed that she will not be returning for a fourth season of Vanderpump Rules and of course, controversy followed. In her first two season on the Bravo reality show Schroeder seemed to be queen bee. Every other storyline seemed to revolve around her but this past season all of her former friends were fed up with her. Schroeder seems to have burned a lot of bridges and didn't help herself by referring to former mentor Lisa Vanderpump as an "old lady". While some insiders have insisted that Schroeder was actually fired, she keeps insisting that she quit willingly.

In her most recent podcast, Schroeder once again addressed the rumors: "The decision to leave this show is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. It's been something that I've deliberated over for two entire years now. I left the show in the most graceful way I possibly could. I felt proud of myself to make that decision to finally walk away. To be able to say that I'm going to walk away from a lot of financial security, I'm gonna walk away from fame, I'm gonna walk away from opportunities to do other things—all because I don't want to be in a situation that doesn't make me happy. For someone to lie and say that I was fired, in any way, it's gross, and it's sick, and it's honestly just truly mean."

She of course went on to take shots at her former friends, saying that her life is now nothing like theirs, because she grew up. Here's the thing though, Schroeder keeps insisting that it's time to separate herself from the world of reality television, but then she keeps hand-feeding the press more thoughts on it. That isn't helping her to move forward, instead it seems to keep her stuck in the same vicious circle that Vanderpump Rules became for her.

Do you think that Schroeder is just looking for whatever press she can get at this point and she's more than happy to play both sides of the situation until no one cares any more? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
