When Adam Young (aka Owl City) recorded his fourth studio album, 'The Midsummer Station,' in 2012, he included a song with Carly Rae Jepsen called "Good Time." The song was a huge hit, earning over $800,000 in royalties. But with a copyright infringement lawsuit looming, that check isn't even close to being in the mail.

Ally Burnett, a singer-songwriter, has made the claim that "Good Time" is a rip-off of her song, "Ah, It’s a Love Song." She filed suit against Young, Jepsen, the record label and everyone else involved two years ago. BMI, the publishing company behind the Owl City song was originally included in the suit, but they made a deal with Burnett -- they would hold the royalty payments in an escrow account until the case has settled as long as she removed them from the legal proceedings.

Though it was widely reported by TMZ and others last week that Burnett had won the lawsuit, TMZ now says that their information was incorrect and the suit is still pending.

One has to wonder what Carly Rae thinks of it all since she didn't know Adam before they recorded the tune.

While the world waits for the outcome, check out the two songs and see if you believe that Adam and Carly Rae ripped Ally off.

What do you think? Is this a clear case of copyright infringement?
