One of the summer's biggest blockbusters—the Entourage Movie—is set to open this week. The actors have been doing the rounds promoting the film and talking about the big screen adaptation of the popular HBO series. In addition to the normal cast, the movie continued the trend from the show in having big-name celebrity guests. The film has already confirmed names like Tom Brady, Mark Wahlberg, Ronda Rousey and many different musicians. One of those who will have a more important is Kid Cudi, who plays the role of Ari Gold's (Jeremy Piven) assistant after Lloyd leaves.

Cudder recently spoke about his role and why he thinks people really latched onto the show.

On his character, Allen, Cudder talks about what he portrays in the role: "It's fun to see the nervousness, see someone who can't always bite back at Ari," says Cudi. "He kind of has to take the brunt of everything. It's cool because this guy really just wants to be the next Ari Gold."

He is happy with the role and how he isn't just another celebrity cameo who plays himself. There will be plenty of those with the likes of Pharrell, T.I. and Rob Gronkowski in the film. Calvin Harris also has a role, but his is more substantial as a leading character in the movie within the movie.

It's dope for me to play a character like that. I didn't want to play myself. I wanted to try to give people a different type of persona of me. I try and do that every time I do movies," Harris said.

Cudi explains why he thinks the show has been so popular: "Even people that haven't experienced that lifestyle, you can still watch the show and fantasize about it," reasons the rapper. Watch the interview below via Complex.
