Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen" has been everywhere this year. A song that started out as somewhat unknown from a small rapper has blown up into a chart-topping and radio sensation, elevating the Paterson, New Jersey rapper's career to a height that wasn't attainable just six months ago. It has already received several official remixes featuring Gucci Mane, Azealia Banks and others, while also being covered by plenty of musicians — amateur and professional. The latest person to take a crack at the melodic hip-hop track is global superstar Ed Sheeran, who teamed up with The Roots to cover "Trap Queen" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

This is the latest video to emerge of Sheeran's exploits on Jimmy Fallon after he covered a very odd mix of Limp Bizkit, Iron Maiden and Ty Dolla $ign for the show as part of an interesting infomercial commercial. As a little bonus feature we now have the footage for a bonus feature from the guest appearance.

Delivering a acoustic performance in a dimly lit room, Sheeran sings the lyrics about strippers and money with ease while he strums away on his guitar. The Roots provide soft backing accompaniment on an upright bass, drums and piano. "Trapped Queen" just got the ginger treatment from one of pop's finest.

It is fitting for Sheeran to cover "Trap Queen" on Fallon. Fetty Wap performed on the late night talk show just about a month earlier.

Now all Sheeran has to do is go out and find a trap queen of his own. He is doing a stadium tour of the United States now, so maybe he can find one at a stop here.
