Can E!'s Fashion Police bounce back from the devastating loss of Joan Rivers and then the round of bad press that it received earlier this year? Executive producer, Melissa Rivers, is hoping so and in order to make it happen, she is taking matters into her own hands. Starting in September, Rivers will become a panelist on the weekly fashion gabfest, hoping to recapture some of the energy that her late mother brought to the show. In somewhat of a surprising move, Rivers has also decided to bring back Giuliana Rancic as a co-host.

Last winter, Rancic drew criticism for insulting Zendaya Coleman in a racially charged comment. It was ultimately the catalyst to both Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne leaving Fashion Police and Rivers deciding to put the show on hiatus. Many believed that Rancic's days at E! were finished but now we know otherwise. As for Rivers taking a seat on the panel, Rancic claims to be thrilled.

Speaking exclusively with Us Weekly, Rancic said, "I adore Melissa. I've known Melissa forever, we talk all the time, we text all the time. No one knows the show as well as Melissa. I think it's an exciting time for Fashion Police. I like that there's a familiarity there, and we all know each other so well, it's a lot harder to welcome a new person in because you have to get to know them and their timing."

What are your thoughts about Rivers joining the show? Do you think that if anyone was going to sit in for her mother, it should have been Rivers in the first place? How about Rancic's confirmed return? Are you surprised that the network didn't decide to dump her? Will you tune in to Fashion Police when it returns this fall?
