This fall, Roger Waters' enthralling production of Pink Floyd's 1979 groundbreaking album The Wall will hit more than 300 U.S. theaters for a one-day-only screening. Loosley dramatizing the loss of the singer's father during WWII, the film version of the tour premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year and will hit theaters on September 29 via Fathom Events.

The screening will incorporate exclusive "in conversation" extras with Waters and Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason, in which they respond to fan questions.

"I hope these worldwide screenings this coming September 29th will be a good opportunity to remember, not just our fallen loved ones, but all the other guys' fallen loved ones," Waters said in a statement. "Ashes and diamonds, foe and friend, we were all equal in the end."

During the bassist's world tour, the film was captured with 4K and Dolby Atmost technology from 2010 to 2013 and was co-directed by Waters and Sean Evans, the tour's creative director, notes Rolling Stone. Over the span of the tour, 219 productions and more than 15 million people were in attendance (and awe), grossing around $458 million. Producers refer to the tour as the largest worldwide trek by a solo artist.

Aside from The Wall, Waters will headline the Newport Folk Festival on July 24 in which he promised fans he would concoct a specialized setlist for the event. As a benefit show for MusiCorps, Waters will play a one-night-only gig in Washington D.C. on October 16. The 71-year-old progressive rocker enlisted help from fellow musicians: the Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan, Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello and country singer Sheryl Crow.

On the same day Waters is set to headline Newport, the reissue of his 1992 LP Amused to Death will drop, complete with remastered audio and vinyl. In a video earlier this year, Waters explained the records importance, noting that he was crafting a record "wedded to the sense...that we could do better, the report card particularly as far as the Western nations and their leaders are concerned would be [sighs] only fair, could do much better."
