R&B singer/songwriter Sevyn Streeter dropped latest EP for fans, Shoulda Been There (Part 1), as a prelude to her debut solo album On the Verge, which is reported to drop this fall. The former RichGirl groupmate and backup vocalist for Chris Brown (recently the victim of a home invasion), follows up her former EP Call Me Crazy with the newest 13-track project which dropped today via iTunes.

Streeter's newly released project features six songs and seven interludes. In the newest single "Shoulda Been There," the songstress enlists her rapper boyfriend B.O.B. The songstress explains this new EP is truly an extension of herself and she decided to write about the many different experiences she had recently encountered in love. According to Rap-Up, Sevyn spoke on music, saying:

"As a creative being, I just had to release this music before my debut album in order to really move on with my life!" explains Sevyn. "So consider this new project the prelude or an appetizer before the main course."

"If I experience it, I write it and I make a song out of it," says Sevyn. "And that's what these records are...so I just kinda want to let ya'll into the last year-and-a-half of my life and let's talk about it."

Sevyn finished up a tour with Chris Brown, August Alsina and Omarion back in June. Check out the new EP and watch the video for her newest single below.
