The soundtrack for Cameron Crowe's latest film, Aloha, boasts one very special track penned by Eddie Vedder with the help of an important vocalist--Harper Vedder, his six-year-old daughter. Vedder is known for his many collaborations with the Who, the Strokes, the Sonics, Neil Young and more but this has got to be his most sentimental joint venture yet. (Runner up goes to the Chicago Cubs.)

The quick, 30-second tune "The Traveler," which can be heard during Aloha's ending credits, features the Pearl Jam vocalist's ukelele skills while Harper lends her voice to continuously sing "I gotta go." The song gives off more of a relaxed, home-recording vibe as opposed to a professional polished studio track. Crowe has a history of working with Vedder, having directed the 2011 documentary Pearl Jam Twenty.

Although Vedder helped pen the song, it's uncertain whether or not he performed the backing track. It seems pretty likely, despite his lack of vocals on the track, given his 2011 solo album debut of Ukelele Songs.

The film that hit theaters this past May stars Rachel McAdams, Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone and Bill Murray. Jónsi & Alex, the duo consisting of Sigur Rós' Jónsi Birgisson and Alex Somers, scored the film. The soundtrack saw further tracks from Tallest Man on Earth, Beck and Kurt Vile, Diffuser notes.

2015 has been a fairly low-key year for Pearl Jam following their latest 2013 LP, Lightning Bolt. Last month, they were announced as co-headliners along with Coldplay, Beyonce and Ed Sheeran for New York City's Global Citizen Festival on September 26. Vedder and company will be hitting the road shortly to end the year with gigs spanning Mexico and South America.
