There may be a bromance emerging between the guys in Mumford & Sons and Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus. Just a few days ago, the musicians united onstage for a unique cover of the Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams" and just when fans thought the bonding was a one-night-event, they reconvened for a private, nighttime gig on Aug. 23. Rage Against the Machine front man Tom Morello also joined forces with Mumford and Hoppus for a rendition of Blink-182's staple hit, "What's My Age Again?"

Like Enema of the State boasts, Hoppus took over lead vocals while Morello and the celebrated folk rockers acted as the backing band for the Los Angeles show. The remote gig also saw Morello assist on "Awake My Soul" and "Dust Bowl Dance" from Mumford's debut album, Sigh No More.

The Los Angeles performance also conjured a Morello cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Ghost of Tom Joad," the same song the RATM member released as a cover track. Springsteen's rerecording of the 1997 song features Morello on guitar and can be found on his 2013 album, High Hopes.

During the 14-song set, Mumford & Sons delivered a mix of fresh tracks, some hailing from their 2015 album, Wilder Mind and other classic Mumford tunes like "I Will Wait," "Little Lion Man," and "The Cave," Diffuser notes.

The group will continue on to play the Reading and Leeds Festivals, in August with the only other tour dates listed on their website being November shows in Australia.

In the meantime, it seems Marcus Mumford has been collaborating on hip-hop music with producer 88-Keys. "I got an email from a really good friend of mine called Izzy [Izvor Zivkovic], who also manages my best friend Kanye West. He told me Marcus [Mumford] is part of the band Mumford & Sons. I've always seen their name around but I've never actually listened to any of their music, only because I'm really tuned out of pretty much anything current, music wise," the producer told NME.
