Artist on the rise, Tori Kelly, gave fans something to talk about during her performance at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday Aug. 30 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The 22-year-old singer and songwriter sang her heart out to her radio single, "Should've Been Us." This was the first time Kelly ever hit the mic to show her musical talents at the VMAs, but after this performance, it probably won't be her last.

Kelly stunned viewers during her debut VMA performance wearing an all-black ensemble with a matching black guitar. The California native shot her way to stardom after submitting countless videos to YouTube of her covering songs like Frank Ocean's "Thinking About You" and even songs she's written herself. Kelly's singing chops even led her to share the stage with Ariana Grande to cover her hit single, "Right There." Since then, Kelly has brought addictive singles to the ears of people around the world with "Dear No One," "Nobody Love" and more. She packs a powerful voice into a small body and tops it off with big gorgeous hair.

After receiving a standing ovation, her popularity is sure to skyrocket after this performance and that could possibly lead to a future nomination at next year's VMAs. Kelly was already featured in MTV's Artists to Watch special, so the future for her is limitless.
