Although the Foo Fighters front man suffered a leg injury causing the group to cancel a handful of show dates, it's somehow proven to be the summer of Dave Grohl. Rocking show after show from atop a motorized and guitar-ridden throne, Grohl and company have done an impeccable job of creating unique and memorable shows for their fans as they traveled around the U.S. Now, they've returned to the U.K. at Milton Kenyes Bowl after having to scrap their Glastonbury and Wembley Stadium gigs three months prior. What better way than to apologize to fans in the U.K. than by bringing out classic rock veterans John Paul Jones and Roger Taylor for a supergroup rendition of Queen and David Bowie's classic track "Under Pressure?"

Friday's gig boasted a two and a half hour set as Grohl wandered around in his motorized throne, apologizing for the need to cancel two June shows and executing a performance of "DOA" for the first time since 2012. Iggy Pop and Royal Blood opened for the Foo, also making a comeback after being scheduled to open for the band's Wembley gigs.

We came back for you!" Grohl shouted as the band launched into fan favorite track "Everlong," NME notes. Before heading into "Monkey Wrench," Grohl announced, "I'm getting better now, I'm gonna dance with you" as he showcased his dance moves and stood up from his throne.

"The last thing I wanted to do was cancel shows. I hate cancelling shows. I said 'I've got to get back there as soon as we f*cking can'. I'm sorry for making you wait so long. Tonight we're gonna play some extra long sh*t, we're just getting warmed up. Who's gonna lose their voice first? Not me," Grohl exclaimed to the pumped up crowd.

The former Nirvana drummer continued to joke, saying he wasn't sure who "Milton" was but that they wouldn't have come back to the U.K. without an immensely exceptional show planned, except they didn't. Just an hour before the show, the group wrangled together Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones and Queen drummer Roger Taylor for a quick, yet unforgettable performance.

"You've heard of a supergroup? Well this is a superdupergroup. The Foo Fighters are living out their f*cking fantasy in front of you." The superdupergroup launched into a rendition of "Under Pressure" with Taylor Hawkins and Grohl exchanging lead vocals, BBC reports. The Foo Fighters went on to play classic hits like "All My Life" and "Times Like These" before jamming on some older Foo tracks. Closing out their gig with "Best of You," Grohl grabbed his crutches and hobbled to the end of the ramp, waving at the appreciative audience who joined him during his classic rock fantasy.
