Fans are still drooling over Kristen Stewart's decked out glitter dress she wore at the 72nd Venice Flim Festival where she premiered her forthcoming movie Equals, featuring rumored love interest and co-star Nicholas Hoult. While the actress built up a reputation over the years for having a resting b*tch face, Stewart was overjoyed to talk about the futuristic love story that unfolds in her new film as well as why she loves working in both independent and stuido films.

Equals is a scientific romantic drama surrounding a utopian society where human emotion has become obsolete and completed eradicated from their world. The lack of emotion allows for peace to remain in their society. Once Hoult's character becomes infected and begins to have feelings for Stewart's character, who's feelings have also been triggered, the two must decide how they'll survive before the rest of the members ostracize them or worse, seal their fate.

The 25-year-old California native recently discussed with her cast what it would be like to live in a world without love.

"One thing we were talking about when making the film," Stewart told Indiewire. "The question we had in rehearsals, was 'Would we exist as human beings, if love didn't exist? Could we live without it, or would we just linger.' I think love is the dominant passion, it's what keeps our world spinning. So although I don't want to be really cheesy or anything, the answer is 'no.'"

Stewart's film rap sheet is a hefty one, having been featured in over 30 movies throughout her career, which kicked off in 1999. The young actress has stood alongside big Hollywood names like Jodie Foster, the late James Gandolfini, Charlize Theron, Marcia Gay Harden, Vince Vaughn, Julianne Moore, Adrien Brody and more.

"I feel equally invested and fervently drawn to every part I've done. I've never done anything where I was like, 'OK, let's just get this one finished'. A lot of actors say 'One for them, one for me", but I could never do that. I would be terrible They would fire me," Stewart said about acting in commercial films and smaller projects. "If you step outside of yourself and start tactically maneuvering your career, it actually makes no sense whatsoever, I don't think it's possible."

Sharing the screen with A-list celebrities hasn't stopped Stewart from taking on smaller independent projects, sometimes starring lesser known actors. Some of today's biggest stars began their start in independent films and also continued to work on them throughout their career. Her love for acting runs deep and she puts her all into any project she adds her name to. Each one is helping her not only learn more about what she's capable of, but the films also help her perfect her craft.

"Sure, there are sociopathic actors out there. But acting requires your heart to be so, so in it," she said. "Every single time I agree to do a movie I'm terrified. I think, 'Oh my God, am I really going to tell them that I can do this?' But then I jump in. It's always the same, the budget makes no difference."
