T'Melle is a singer, songwriter and survivor. The protégé of TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes put her all on the stage last night at her showcase in New York City's SOB's. Performing her new single, "Drop It Down," for a packed house of industry execs, artists and fans, it is but the latest milestone in this Philadelphia native's incredible story of recovery and persistence.

Over 10 years after suffering from near fatal injuries in the car crash that claimed the life of Lopes, T'melle recalls how the odds were stacked against her. "I'm the girl that people told to quit and that this wasn't going to happen for me. I'm the girl who's been told 'No' way more than the word yes! I believed! I still believe!" T'Melle says in her press release. Having to relearn how to walk, and eventually dance, she's been hard at work proving her naysayers wrong and building up quite the resume which includes work with Usher, Tricky Stewart, Future and Waka Flocka Flame.

In 2013 she released her mixtape The Interview and is currently heavy on the promo trail for her new single. "[This is] a feel good video that moves you and put's you in a 90s feel where people hung out at the playground to get away from their problems. It's about different age groups getting together and uniting but also how life can change in a minute all from a bad decision and what's going on in the world today," she says.
