As promised, the Black Keys have released their first new song in almost three years, "Fever." It follows last week's announcement of the upcoming album, Turn Blue, which was revealed in a tweet from boxing legend Mike Tyson and pointed fans to a bizarre commercial for the record.

"Fever" features signature Danger Mouse production built on a mix of new wave and classic rock elements that expand upon the Keys tradition.

In a press release (via Radio.com), drummer Patrick Carney said of the album, "We are always trying to push ourselves when we make a record-not repeat our previous work but not abandon it either. On this record, we let the songs breathe and explored moods, textures and sounds. We're excited for the world to hear Turn Blue."

The band also detailed the significance of the title in the press release, saying that it could mean either suffocation, sadness, numbness from extreme cold, a Cleveland late night TV host from the 1960s named Ghoulardi or all of the above.

Turn Blue is due out May 13 via Nonesuch. Check out the full tracklist and listen to "Fever" below. Let us know what you think in the comments section.
