According to Pitchfork, Massive Attack will release new music imminently, off which the upcoming tour will be inspired.

Massive Attack's last album, 2010's Heliogland, was their first in seven years at the time. In a 2013 interview, Del Naja said that he and Tricky, the producer/emcee who appeared on the band's first two albums, Blue Lines (1991) and Protection (1994), had been working on new music that would appear on the next album. Earlier this year, the band was spotted in the studio with Run the Jewels, the hip-hop duo of Killer Mike and El-P.
