  • Collective Shout Calls Tyler, the Creator's Song 'F*ck You' a "Tantrum"

    On Monday, Tyler, the Creator shared an especially angry new track, "F*ck It," that, in part, addresses his controversial immigration status in Australia. In August, Tyler cancelled the Australian leg of his "Cherry Bomb" tour following a lobbying campaign from Australian activist group Collective Shout that protested his past lyrics, which the group deemed violently misogynistic. A spokeswoman for Collective Shout has since responded to "F*ck It," and she describes the song as a "tantrum."

    Rick Ross just announced a new album, Black Market, after releasing its first single, "Sorry," featuring Chris Brown. When he stopped by Power 105.1 to sit down with The Breakfast Club, and then Angie Martinez, though, the main focus was on his affiliation in two different rap beefs, one involving his MMG signee, Meek Mill, and former collaborator, Drake, and one involving himself and 50 Cent.
  • Massive Attack To Release New Music, Plus Upcoming Tour With Young Fathers

    Massive Attack, the pioneering trip-hop group now made up of Robert "3D" Del Naja and Grant "Daddy G" Marshall have announced an upcoming European tour that begins on January 1, 2016. The tour, during which they'll be joined by Young Fathers, will be in support of an upcoming project, presumably a full album, which will be released later this year.
  • Metro Boomin: Working With Young Thug & Future "Feels The Same"

    Young Thug, fresh off the release of Slime Season, and Future, who just dropped a joint album with Drake, What a Time to Be Alive, are two of the most prolific, and buzzworthy, artists of the year. On the production side, 2015's biggest success story has to be Metro Boomin, also from Atlanta. Metro has had the privilege of working extensively with both Thug and Future, and he says the two rappers are similar in their levels of talent and creativity.
  • The Game, Kanye West Collaborate on New Song 'Mula' Off 'Documentary 2'

    There's a new Kanye West-featuring track, "Mula," off of The Game's upcoming album, Documentary 2. The new song was featured on the original Documentary 2 tracklist that Game shared a couple of weeks ago. Since, the Compton rapper announced that Documentary 2 will be a double LP with 19 additional tracks. He hasn't yet shared the disc two tracklist but said fans can expect features from Lil Wayne, Nas and YG. Part 1 of the album will be released on Oct, 9 and Part 2 on Oct. 16.
  • Skepta Remixes Jamie xx's "Good Times" Featuring Popcaan & Frisco

    UK grime "Godfather" Skepta has come through with a new remix of Jamie xx's "Song of the Summer," "I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)," featuring dancehall star Popcaan and leading Atlanta slime Young Thug. Also on the remix is Frisco, a member of Skepta's Boy Better Know crew.
  • Future & Drake Drop More Hints of Rumored Upcoming Mixtape via Instagram Posts

    Future and Drake are dropping more hints and keep on teasing us about that rumored mixtape that, if it indeed exists, is easily the most anticipated rap release of the year. Today (Sept. 16), Future has posted two Instagram pictures of himself in the studio with Drake, strongly suggesting that he and Drizzy have a collaborative project on the way. Since then, Drake has put up one of the same pictures on Instagram, with a few emojis that signal we're not far away from something special.

    As promised, Rick Ross' new mixtape, 'Black Dollar,' is here. He announced the imminent release of the project on Monday (August 31), and in the last few days, he gave fans five of the mixtape's tracks and one music video. Now that Black Dollar has arrived, #RozayWeek is hardly over, as the new mixtape includes 12 new tracks (17 total) and additional guest spots from Future, Wale, Anthony Hamilton and another feature from Meek Mill.

    Dallas rapper Post Malone has broken into the spotlight recently after signing a contract with Republic Records based on the success of his debut single. The "White Iverson" rapper is, of course, white, and as he's been noticed by major hip-hop outlets, he's also began to face questions of what it means to be a white rapper in an era of commonplace cultural appropriation. And if it was unfair for Malone to face such questions so early into his career, his race, and the privilege that goes with it, will likely take up much of his spotlight in the near future, as an old video has surfaced that shows a younger Malone saying the N-word.

    Rick Ross has declared this week #RozayWeek, and he's definitely been supplying more new music than any other rapper, or anyone at all for that matter. The MMG boss released a new track, "Foreclosures," on Monday (August 31) and announced that his next project, Black Dollar, would arrive on Thursday (September 3). It's now Wednesday, and since dropping "Foreclosures," he's given fans three more tracks and one video off of Black Dollar. On Tuesday, he dropped "Money Dance," featuring The-Dream, and today, Rozay dropped "Turn Ya Back," with Gucci Mane, Meek Mill and Whole Slab, as well as the solo effort "Money and Powder," which was released with an accompanying video.
