Featured on his solo LP, Rattle That Lock, David Gilmour has revealed the video for his latest track, "The Girl in the Yellow Dress." Danny Madden, co-founder of production company Ornana Films, directed the animated clip and is credited for the free Vimeo feature euphonia and profiled in the extras found on the deluxe edition of Rattle That Lock, UltimateClassicRock reports.

"The Girl in the Yellow Dress" follows the same pattern as the rest of the album-- a lyric collaboration between Gilmour and his wife, writer Polly Samson. In a recent interview, Samson detailed her long-lasting creative relationship with the former Pink Floyd guitarist, comparing the writing process for his latest album to writing a book.

"'The Girl In The Yellow Dress' actually felt incredibly similar to writing a short story," Samson explained to NPR. "There was no point in me writing a song that he naturally wouldn't sing, so I tried to look as clearly as I could through his eyes. It feels very similar to writing fiction. The added advantage is that there's someone prompting me. There is no blank piece of paper, because the music is there."

"My assumption is that the music will drive the guitar playing that I play as it will drive the vocal lines that I sing over the top of it and will also help to dig out what that lyric is going to be about," Gilmour said after. "Allowing it to be something natural is what I've always attempted. Practice makes perfect, and I think that Polly and I both are getting better at making those things work, and of course she also has an influence on the music because she's full of very forceful and valid opinions on every aspect of what's being done."

The 69-year-old musician has already boasted videos for the album's title track, a teaser of "5 A.M" and a Rattle That Lock unboxing clip. The classic rock icon recently sat down with CBS This Morning for his first-ever U.S. television interview to detail his latest solo LP that comes nine years after On An Island.
