Once an MTV VJ in the 90s, Lisa Kennedy Montgomery now runs her own Fox Business show titled Kennedy, in which she hosted the former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic for a discussion of grunge music, Bernie Sanders and dreams involving his late band mate Kurt Cobain.

Novoselic, chairman of the organization FairVote, is known for his politically active disposition and for being a supporter of Citizens United, which helped Super Pac funding for presidential candidates. During the interview, the musician took jabs at democratic candidate Bernie Sanders for his views of political action committees, Pitchfork notes. Previously, Novoselic wrote of the 2010 Supreme Court decision, calling it "good for transparency in elections."

"I think if Bernie Sanders gets elected, we might have Sanka. But that's his charm: He's the uncle who drinks Sanka," Novoselic said earlier in the week, paralleling Bernie Sanders to instant coffee. "Bernie Sanders is cool. I'm concerned about the position he takes on Citizens United ... You have someone like Bernie Sanders who stands in front of a crowd of 14,000 people and he's disparaging the term 'citizens united.' Last I checked, citizens united - coming together - is a good thing."

In May, Sanders spoke against the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission ruling, announcing to Face the Nation that, "If elected president, I will have a litmus test in terms of my nominee to be a Supreme Court justice and that nominee will say that they are going to overturn this disastrous Supreme Court decision," Rolling Stone reports. Fellow Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton puts faith in Super PAC, Sanders is adamant against using one for his campaign.

The interview also boasted emotional memories of his Nirvana band mate in which Novoselic revealed that he still dreams of the front man. "I do. And it's beautiful. It's just loving," the bassist explained of his dreams. "You know when you lose somebody and you see them in a dream and you just feel all this love? It's nice." Trailing the release of Brett Morgen's Montage of Heck, a Kurt Cobain solo album, Kurt Cobain - Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings will be released on November 13.
