After hinting at the possible release of new music at the 2015 BET Hip-Hop Awards, Big K.R.I.T. made good on his word. On Wednesday (Oct. 14), K.R.I.T. dropped his surprise mixtape It's Better This Way ahead of his upcoming tour.
The new tape, hosted by DJ Drama, fetaures guest spots from Warren G, BJ The Chicago Kid, Ludacris, K Camp and more. Mainly produced by Krizzle himself, the tape also features additional help coming from Kenneth Whalum and WOLFE de MÇHLS.
Last November, the Mississippi lyricist released his sophomore album Cadillactica. The album featured the singles “Pay Attention” with Rico Love and "Soul Food" featuring Raphael Saadiq. During fall of 2014, he also toured with Atlanta rap collective Two-9.
This time around, he’s hitting the road with BJ The Chicago Kid and Smoke DZA. The Kritically Acclaimed tour will run for nearly two months, kicking off on Oct. 22 in Norfolk, Virginia and wrapping Dec. 18 in Atlanta.
