Lil Wayne is starting to become infamous for his album delays. The YMCMB rapper pushed back the release date for his previous installment of Tha Carter series and it looks like he's facing the same issue this time around.

Last month, MStars reported that Drake had revealed that Lil Wayne would be releasing Tha Carter V in May.

The Nothing Was The Same rapper sent out a tweet giving his followers a heads up that the album was in the works and then brought Wayne out during a performance at the House of Blues during the NBA All-Star Weekend to announce the official release date for Tha Carter V.

Looks like there have been some changes since then.

According to Vibe magazine, Wayne's manager Cortez Bryant chopped it up with NeverNotDopeTV and revealed that the album will not be released in May as previously announced.

"I'm not gonna release the real date until I really, really, really, really know what it is," Bryant said.

Someone from Bryant's entourage chimed in saying, "Sorry for the wait, sorry for the wait," while chuckling.

While fans waited for the release of the delayed Tha Carter IV, Lil Wayne released a mixtape entitled Sorry For The Wait.

It was previously reported that blogger Karen Civil confirmed the announcement of Lil Wayne's album. She sent out a tweet saying, "Drake announced Carter V is dropping May 5th! When we spoke yesterday he mentioned they were 6/8 songs in already."

Who knows, Bryant may be gearing up for a Beyoncé-style release.
