The summer transfer window saw some talk of Muller coming to United at the behest of manager Louis Van Gaal, but this clearly did not happen. Will January open more talks for the move? According to a new German newspaper Welt am Sonntag interview with Muller, the possibility is "very tempting," considering how much money he could make.

"In the end, we should not forget that playing football is our job," he said, according to Telegraph. "So people should accept that wages will always play a role in a player's decision-making. Of course, the wages that are being paid in the Premier League are very tempting. It would be hypocrisy to deny that."

Muller also touched on the fact that the Premier League's clubs' spending habits might be looked down upon by German clubs, but it is good for everyone in the end.

He added: "You have to look at the complete package to determine whether something is right for you. What's good for you one day will not necessarily still be good for you the day after."

So if United signs Muller, what player would be dropped from the team? According to rumors and reports over at Sunday People, Ander Herrera is eyed by at least one top La Liga team, Barcelona. Could the midfielder head home in 2016 or are these just rumors?
