Last week, former L.A. Lakers player Lamar Odom was left fighting for his life in a Nevada hospital with his estranged reality star wife by his side. Accompanying the news of her husband's medical breakthrough, Khloe Kardashian has allegedly broken up with boyfriend James Harden following Odom's release from the hospital. The couple that started dating back in July, have now called their relationship off so that Kardashian can focus on being by Odom's side for the long recovery process that the former athlete is in for.
As many expected would happen, TMZ reported Kardashian called off her romantic fling with the Houston Rockets player after the KUWTK star had practically been inseparable from Odom's bedside for the past six days while he fought for his life.
Apparently, her heart is still with Odom, as she wants to do everything in her power to ensure his recovery. The star finally broke her silence and shared her first statement since her husband's brush with death.

Although Odom is definitely not in the clear, things have miraculously turned around for the better for the former baller, as he was released from the hospital after his scary stint in the ICU. Odom was discharged from Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas and transported to Cedar-Sinai in Los Angeles to start the journey of recovery after extensive damage was done to his body.
According to reports from USA Today, "Lamar Odom may need a kidney transplant as his medical treatment continues in Los Angeles".
A source revealed to the publication, "He suffered several strokes and multiple organ failure, and while other organs have returned to functionality, his kidneys are still failing".
The insider continued, "He is expected to receive extensive therapy in order to improve his physical capabilities and brain tests to ascertain whether his mental function has been affected by his collapse will be undertaken".
We're sure that with his "baby" by his side, he'll be on track for a speedy recovery in no time.
