On Friday (Oct. 23), Hot 97's Ebro was able to get Bobby Shmurda on the phone. During the call, the incarcerated rapper spoke on his bail situation, L.A. Reid and Epic Records. The "Hot N*gga" rapper went into detail about his $2 million bail and the fact that the court is not accepting collateral.

"They want 100 percent," Shmurda said. "They don't want 25 percent. They don't want 40 percent. They don't want 50. They want the whole $2 million."

Back in December, Shmurda and other members of his GS9 crew were charged with reckless endangerment in the second degree, conspiracy in the second degree, three counts of conspiracy in the third degree, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and one count of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia (intent to sell and possession of narcotics). He has since received other chargers after a prison guard discovered he was carrying a makeshift shank.

Earlier this month, L.A. Reid, CEO of Epic Records, explained why the label has not been able to pay Shmurda's bail.

"Bobby Shmurda is not the same as Snoop Dogg and ‘Murder Was the Case,’ who’s coming off The Chronic and [Doggystyle]. It’s a different era, you know? And we’re a publicly held corporation. We just aren’t in the same position we were in back in those days so it’s a different day."

Shmurda revealed that he hasn't been in touch with any of the label's representatives "in a long time."

Towards the end of the phone call, Shmurda lent a word of advice to those who listen to his music. He encouraged listeners not to partake in the activities that he raps about.

"My music is not for nobody to go react or something," he said. "This is something that I've been through. This is where I come from. A lot of people don't come from where I come from, but a lot do. The people that do come from where I come from, it don't make it right to the things I talk about, to go outside and do it. It's ok to be out there in the club be dancing, be having fun, but that's about it. Don't take it farther than the club. Right now, these people in New York, they not playing with us right now."
