Kasbo, the moniker of Swedish electronic producer Carl Garso, has recently dropped a new future bass track, "World Away." The 19-year-old up up-and-comer has yet to share a full-length album, but has already garnered quite the following--probably because the track is one of the coveted first releases on ODESZA's new label, Foreign Family Collective; or maybe because Kasbo scored a supporting slot on ODESZA's Fall North American tour that's kicking off this Friday in New Orleans. Either way, he'll be making his festival debut this Halloween at HARD's Day of the Dead in LA, which is kind of a big deal. Listen to "World Away," below.

The new track is at once chill and energetic, featuring soulful layers and glitchy vocals peppered throughout. It's pretty representative of Kasbo's body of work so far. It's also worth noting that the track received hundreds of thousands of plays within the first day of its release.

100k plays on “World Away” in 24 hours! Literally crying rn! Big thanks to ODESZA and most importantly you guys for the support!! Listen here: https://soundcloud.com/foreignfamily/world-away

The new track follows closely after Kasbo's debut Umbrella Club EP that came out earlier this month. As This Song Is Sick reports, the multi-track EP "has seen over a surprising half a million free downloads so far." Listen to what all the hype is about via the artist's Soundcloud, below.

According to The Untz, "Kasbo seems to be maintaining a very rapid production pace coming out with a few tracks a month for around two years now, and he doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon." Between his production rate and his exponentially-growing listenership, the artist shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

"World Away" is Foreign Family Collective's fifth release. The new label is the latest project of Seattle's Harrison Mills and Claton Knight, the electronic duo behind ODESZA. According to the label's website, the project strives to be "an outlet for musicians and visual artists alike" curated by ODESZA themselves.
