Have any ideas for what KISS should do for their 40th anniversary tour? Well now you have an outlet. Gene Simmons has asked for help formulating ideas for their anniversary, which he wants to celebrate in the "most epic way possible" this year.

According to The Hollywood Reporter (via Rolling Stone) he is using the company Tongal to connect with fans for crowd-sourced ideas. "We've always been about the fans," Simmons told THR. "Tongal allows our fans to throw out ideas, and you know you're going to make something authentic."

The project is taking place through a new Tongal service called Left Field, where fans can contribute 140-character ideas (similar to Twitter). Tongal will then pay the people who come up with the best ideas. They expect to award $15 million this year to their community.

In another marketing strategy, KISS has launched a "Kiss Photo Bomb" app that allows uses to add KISS makeup to their selfies, KISS members to their photos and KISS emoticons to their texts. As Rolling Stone notes, the app is available on iOS and Android devices.

The band will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next week. They will not be performing at the induction; however, the current lineup will be in attendance along with former guitarist Bruce Kulick, who played with the band from 1984 to 1996.
