Good Morning America (GMA) is celebrating 40 years of being one the top morning news broadcast programs and is giving viewers a look back over the show's successful years with a 40-hour marathon.

UPI reported the network's announcement of the marathon, which is set to begin on Tuesday November 17 at 5 p.m. and will continue to air on TV and online until 9 a.m. on Thursday, November 19. The marathon event will reunite former hosts with current hosts and will feature special guest appearances.

According to the site, current anchors Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer, Amy Robach and Ginger Zee will link with former anchors Josh Elliott, Sam Champion, Joan Lunden, David Hartman, Diane Sawyer, Charles Gibson, Nancy Dussault, Sandy Hill, Spencer Christian, Lisa McCree and Morton Dee for an unforgettable event.

ABC Shark Tank's Mark Cuban, Daymond John and Kevin O'Leary, will also be present for the show and an added special performance from One Direction.

Roberts tweeted about the event with a teaser that there will be more information to come.

The show will provide special looks back at great GMA moments, and exclusive content and interviews, according to Variety. For the show's 30th anniversary, the staff celebrated with "red carpet cocktail party at the Lincoln Center in NYC" and a video look back of some of their greatest moments, according to Ad Week.

The long-running program began back in 1975 and was hosted at that time by Bill Beutel and Stephanie Edwards, with Peter Jennings and Robert Kennedy reading the news. Jennings was noted as "one of America's most distinguished journalists," who reported many of the pivotal events that have shaped our world, according to ABC News.
