Jamaica is known for its dub and reggae rhythms, but in March a whole new set of beats are gearing up to take over the Caribbean island. A brand new EDM festival, Paradise Lost will provide the thundering, overcharged, EDM beats that revelers all over the world have been consuming en masse for years now. Organizers have gone big with their initial lineup, tabbing Tiësto and Bassnectar as the main two headliners alongside other acts like AlunaGeorge, Felix Jaehn, Zion I, Audien and Big Gigantic.

They will keep a local flavor to this festival with acts like King Jammy, Lance Herbstrong and Natalli Rize all performing. Casablanca Records, the home of several acts on the bill including Tiësto, is hosting its own Beachfront stage, which will feature Caroline D'Amore, Gazzo and Prince Fox.

"I feel great about EDM coming to Jamaica because most people don't know it originated here. I am not just an innovator I am a fan and for my performance I'm going to perform never before heard tracks with a back-to-the future effect while mixing live on stage," said King Jammy in a statement. "I listen to artists like Bassnectar and it makes me feel good that the dream is still alive and being built upon by today's talented artists."

The festival will take place at Grizzly's Plantation Cove in Ocho Rios, Jamaica from March 10-12, 2016. Bassnectar will headline on March 11, while Tiësto will close out the whole affair on March 12.

“Jamaica is the entertainment mecca of the Caribbean,” said Jason Hall, Deputy Director of Tourism, Cruise, Attractions and Events, in the official press release. “The island offers diverse festive options to both locals and visitors alike. Jamaicans the world over, are proud of our musical heritage. Our music producers and artists are inventors and trendsetters, with one such innovation being Dub Music (Dub-Step), the precursor to Electric Dance Music. The Jamaica Tourist Board is pleased that Caribbean Trans Media has seen it fit to bring the music back to its birthplace, Jamaica. ”

Early Bird ticket sales begin Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. EST for registered users at the festival's website. General public tickets go on sale six days later on Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. EST. Stay tuned for more artist announcements soon.
