It wouldn't be the holiday season without longtime pop sensation Mariah Carey providing tunes to get everyone into the festive spirit. This December, the iconic singer will play a string of eight performances at New York City's Beacon Theatre for her second annual "All I Want For Christmas Is You" concert series. With the show dates fast approaching, ticket prices are already rising fast. Carey's return to the Beacon will commence on December 8 and will run until December 18. The performances will feature her Christmas catalogue, which includes tracks from her 1994 album, Merry Christmas, and her 2010 release, Merry Christmas II You.

Although it has been 21 years since Carey's major Christmas track, "All I Want For Christmas is You," hit the charts, there is no denying the power of her music around Christmastime, as resale tickets to see Mariah Carey are now averaging $250 for her eight holiday shows. Currently, the most expensive show in December is Carey's December 11 performance, where a secondary ticket is averaging $310 and the cheapest ticket available for $81. Her least expensive date of the eight-show run is still considerably pricey and falls on December 14, where an average ticket is $225 with a get-in ticket is $69, according to data provided by ticket aggregator TiqIQ. Carey's eight nights for next month have jumped up considerably since last year's string of shows, when tickets for her six nights averaged $172, with her most expensive night averaging just over $200. With prime holiday dates, even parking rates are a bit higher for Carey's shows at the Beacon Theatre. NYC parking starts at $35, whereas other upcoming events at the venue start closer to $15 on ParkWhiz.com.

Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" re-enters Billboard's Holiday 100 Chart every year. As of 2013, the song was reported to have earned $50 million in royalties, according to a New York Post report. Aside from her Christmas tracks, Mariah Carey is the best-selling female artist of all time and has sold more than 200 million albums. She has 18 Billboard Hot 100 #1 singles, which is the most of any solo artist in history. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is Carey's biggest selling song with over 14 million copies sold.
